My artwork is all about texture, color, and light.

I use unusual combinations of substrates – cloth, metal, and polystyrene – to weave an intricate pattern of mesh-like lines and arcs. The metals, usually copper or aluminum, capture any light falling on the artwork and reflect it outward, through the web of polystyrene, to create the appearance of a surface that glows with warmth. Paints complete the piece by adding color and increasing contrast.

My artwork sometimes inspires a deep emotive response in the viewer. I try to ensure that one may project any kind of emotive content onto one of my artworks, although often a viewer may have prior associations with colors or linear forms that paint their impressions of the piece.

I began creating artwork about fifteen years ago, experimenting with different materials to yield unique results. Over this time I developed a style and set of techniques uniquely my own, drawing inspiration from my educational and professional background.

I always appreciate hearing from people who view the site. Please contact me if you're interested in my work.
