My artwork is all about texture, color, and light.
I use unusual combinations of substrates – cloth, metal, and polystyrene – to weave an intricate pattern of mesh-like lines and arcs. The metals, usually copper or aluminum, capture any light falling on the artwork and reflect it outward, through the web of clear plastic, to create a surface that glows with warmth. Paint completes the piece by adding color and increasing contrast.
I began creating artwork about fifteen years ago, experimenting with different materials to yield unique results. Over this time I developed a style and set of techniques uniquely my own, drawing inspiration from my educational and professional background.
I always appreciate hearing from people who view the site. Please contact me if you're interested in my work.
